Have some extra time this morning?
Now we know what's behind this. ; )

I was saddened to hear about the death of Lee of the famed Ted and Lee. It’s quite sad and very shocking. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Watch one of their skits here.
I didn't get any super shots on Saturday (like I ever get any!) but this puppy was cute.
And, one more flag photo...
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your love, O LORD, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.
Psalm 138:8 NIV

Well, we're headed out this morning to provide the PA for the service at the cemetery. It's cloudy, and threatening rain at the moment. Yesterday I was listening to an old man tell the story of his dad who died in a sub in World War 1. It has come to my attention before but it struck me, people have died so I can have freedom. What a precious gift. How even more precious is the sacrifice of Jesus, who died to free me from sin! What wondrous love is this.
(I saw this at Echo's site and wanted to post it here. Hope you don't mind, Echos.)
God Of Our Fathers
God of our fathers - whose Almighty hand
Leads forth in beauty all the starry band
Of shining worlds in splendor through the skies -
Our grateful songs before Thy throne arise.
Thy love divine has led us in the past;
In this free land by Thee our lot is cast;
Be Thou our ruler, guardian, guide and stay,
Thy Word our law, Thy paths our chosen way.
From war's alarms, from deadly pestilence,
Be Thy strong arm our ever sure defense.
Thy true religion in our hearts increase,
Thy bounteous goodness nourish us in peace.
Refresh Thy people on their toilsome way;
Lead us from night to never-ending day.
Fill all our lives with love and grace divine,
And glory, laud and praise be ever Thine.

Aaaand...it's face lift time!
Tomorrow we’re starting MIXDOWN! Wouldn’t it be fun if we actually finished a few songs? I think so.
Here are a few photos from Dad’s birthday party…
I didn’t get any good shots of dad playing. My silly Dimage has a lovely little shutter delay making action shots hard.
Dad’s cake was the same one Daniel created the recipe for in March, and it was very good. : D The only variation was leaving the cherries on the side. ; )
Someone thought it would be cute to dump their Christmas tree in our property so we had a fun time placing pieces of it on fire and watching fire shoot into the air. I guess we are easy to entertain. : P
All in all we had an enjoyable time. :)
Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22 NIV

Hill and vale and tree and flower, Sun moon and stars of light
Lord of all, to Thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise
(From the hymn, For the Beauty of the Earth)
Monday of last week is over. : ) Our first band rehearsal of the season was interesting. We were rehearsing in a new building and the room has a horrible echo. It’s really fun to sing in but it’s impossible for the director to hear parts, according to him. The band’s plans are coming together for the special dedicatory concert for the park and band shell with the Marine band from New Orleans. Turns out the town is suing the contractor who ’remodeled’ the park so it may not even be open in time. Hmmm. So, yeah details are still being worked out. : P : ) One of the hardest pieces in the program is Procession of Nobles (from “Malada”), by Rimsky-Korsakov. This same composer wrote “Flight of the Bumble Bee”. : P : D
I’ve been pretty well been Jane Austin-ed out the past few evenings. I watched Pride and Prejudice, Emma, AND Sense and Sensibility. No, I had never seen any of these versions before. (If anyone is wondering, P&P was with Colin Firth, or whatever his name is.) The Greer Garson P&P stands out as a very well done version, and one I grew up on, but this ’new’ one goes into much more detail and is considerably longer. I do believe I might be thinking and speaking with an English accent for a good long time. ; )
In other news, we received two more mix downs this weekend. :) I really liked the way the brass turned out.
Please, continue to pray for Kent Hovind who is who knows where. God bless him.

Well…..the time has come. Yes. That is dramatic. *clears throat* The time has come for a new post. (That wasn’t so bad? Was it? : P )
We did our umpteenth Mother’s Day concert at the nursing home today! Yay. It was great. (Read, my voice felt really good. ; )) I shouldn’t gage how well things went by that though. I’m sure there are days we think everything went wrong and the Lord still is glorified, which is the main objective anyway!
And, the annual family photo went fine…I just wish it could have been in the same spot at last year. They had a patch of green supposing to look like a golf course on ‘our’ wall this time. was not exactly what I wanted….: P
I took roughly 1 million pictures (hyperbole there) of a dandelion at the ‘empty lot’, our green paradise up the street. Yeah, paradise sounds a little lush but it really is just what we need, more room to spread out.
Now, call me crazy but I liked the color and comp of this photo.
I wasn’t intending to take it but the color of the perfume bottle was too hard to resist.
I’ve got a busy week ahead with first band rehearsal tomorrow (hello bruised and painful lips) and lots of work. : ) Tis’ good to be busy though. No pain, no gain!
So, keep on pressing on, keep up the good fight, finish the race!
2 Timothy 4:7 (New International Version)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Let us be found faithful this week! : )

I don't feel like a wordy post tonight soooo you all are gonna have to put up with more pictures. : P Flowers are from yesterday and the kitty (named Sage?) was today...no, he's not ours. : ( We 'borrow' him several times a week though. : D
That white string is a distraction on the cat but since it's 'borrowed' we need to keep it tied to someone so he doesn't escape!
I really liked the color combination on this flower...
...and, the shadow was something different.
Just one more to make this a nice round 7..
This is the fire we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows on tonight. Incidently, we bought 15 pound of marshmallows for $2.00. Like you needed to know that....lol. So, if any of y'all come to town we'll have to roast ya some. K?
