*****WARNING*****
Picture heavy post!
I’ve been really busy with work, cleaning, work, practice, cleaning, work and um, more cleaning. : ) Oh and band rehearsal. Thankfully, band is only one night a week. As Bonnie, (my sister) blogged about we are, Lord willing, playing with a Marine band tomorrow. : D I shouldn’t mention the fact I haven’t practiced the hard spots like I told myself I should. :(
The Friday concert at Relay For Life went fine. The crowd was more interested in the bluegrass so we stuck to that for most of our allotted time. That was fine with me since I really didn’t feel like singing with a sore throat, head cold and cough! Nope.
This weekend brought Daniel and Susanna up for a visit. : D They arrived late Friday night and came with us Saturday to our concert. I think it was the worst concert we’ve done in a while. (It seems we have those a lot of those 'worst ever' concerts …haha.) We ended up on the school auditorium and they had the coolest hallway for singing. : D The reverb really was nice. Aside from the fact the rain kept most of our audience away, the publicity department did a horrible job. The only reason the K’s weren’t half the audience was due to the fact a friend had told his friends we were playing.
We got back in time to watch the Dortignacs with the Duggars (or is that the Duggars with the Dortignacs?) on VHS, a first for a few of us.
Volleyball…
….wrestling…
and food cooked on an open fire was on the activity list Saturday night…until it started raining, again!
Hannah had some big shoes to fill…
When we got up today the sky was gray and rainy. The prospect of an outdoor concert didn’t look good. However, the Lord blessed us with a beautiful sunny afternoon! It was great.
Bonnie warming up…
Matthew and Nathan jamming with the LaClaires.
Susanna warming my violin up here…
You have Daniel to thank for the nice photos of the concert. (And, the picture above.) He graciously took charge of the camera and did a super job. : ) Thank you, again.
^ Does it kinda look like we’re catching flies here? : P
Dad. (Obviously.)
We got to play with the really cool, awesome, talented, and photogenic LaClaires!
We also got to sit back for a while and enjoy their concert!
Jenn got to sing with them, too. : )
We did turn the camera around and get a shot of our guests…
So, now another Homecoming concert is over! *yawn* And, another week has started!
Till next time…
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
