Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and receives favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22 NIV

Everyone has a story. This is a story of God’s provision and a testimony to answered prayer. Our stories really started long before we met in person. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt God heard our prayers and the prayers of others for us! We are so blessed to have God as our “matchmaker”. His ways are always best.

Seth Hollis met our family at his church on one of our singing trips. He and his family gave us a very warm welcome and we enjoyed getting to know each other while in Alabama.

My dad gave Seth his blessing to communicate with me and with the encouragement of both families and parents, we began hours and hours of phone, Skype and emails. :) As our communication continued we saw God’s handprint of blessing and confirmation.

Seth has felt for years a call to be in ministry. His decision to join “The MacDonald Family Singers” on their cross country travels has been a direction only God could have impressed on him. The Lord has worked in both of our hearts as we examined ours goals for ministry. As the years have gone by, my desire for a husband to work with in our music ministry has never gone away. While I left the option open with the Lord of going to a more “normal” situation, He has provided exactly what has been on my heart.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart”

We are extraordinarily excited about serving the Lord together in music and look forward to the future that the Lord will lead and direct. He not only makes the best matches but is a faithful guide to those committed to doing right. Our wedding is scheduled for August 20, 2011. We appreciate all of you who have prayed for us and those who will continue to pray. We hope you will be rejoicing with us as we start a new chapter in our lives!

God bless you all.
