Ah! Summertime.
It's hard to believe July 2010 is over in less than 24 hours.

The second completed T-shirt rug! The "Sweet Tart" rug. :)

:listening to Handel's Messiah:

Looking at the heaping amount of raw materials I'm gathering for my rug project I'd say I'm going to need a whole separate room to craft in very soon. Can someone say sewing studio? Mhmm. Speaking of crafting I desperately want to weave a rug. I have a feeling it could be a total disaster or total bliss. Kinda covers most of the bases. : P If anyone needs inspiration or ideas. Flickr.com is loaded with crafty people with awesome ideas. So, here are my lastest creations..unfinished due to running OUT of fabric. Is that possible?? Hehe. ; )

In other news I have some separation anxiety. Yes I do. The lovely D90 never got unpacked from the bus and it's STILL IN THERE. That tends to happen when you arrive home at 12am, hardly open your eyes enough to find your tremendously HUGE bed and seal your eyelids till the morning light. At least I remembered to bring in the laptop....*yawn*

Karissa and Susanna at Alton Bay Conference Center! Glad to see you gals again!

I finally got caught up on the New York blogging at the family blog yesterday as some may have noticed. I have a mental to do list a mile long....so I'd better scoot and not try to get ahead of myself and blog on time. : P

July 25, 2010

This blog post come to you all the way from...NH! I'm enjoying a little down time in between concert at our friend's house. The rain is falling outside and some people are quietly playing game, and some people are wisely taking naps. ; )

It has been a wonderfully blessed weekend. I praise the LORD for His goodness. His presence is beyond amazing.

Being content is not dependent on circumstances, but our ability to trust our Father.

Hope you all are having a good weekend. ^_^

Be joyful in hope...

Romans 12:12a NIV

When my heart starts to fly
Fly with wings over the clouds
With a peace only He could supply
Let my heart sing aloud
As this I have found
His strength is all that I need
I am resting in His joy
For His strength I’ve employ
O what a joy, what a peace
O sweetness so profound
Let my heart fly and sing
Sing with wings over the clouds

What a lovely weekend....:sigh:

Abigail and I had fun taking a few pics. ;) Thanks to Hillary (in the last pic of the set) for these!

Of course we're not talking to each other!!!!! : P

; )

And of course no visit to a farm would be complete without my favorite chore - WEEDING! Yay. :)

I'm pretty sure the Darts think I have a few screws loose for admitting I like to weed.

We had music of course with 4 concerts. : ) Just so praising the Lord for His blessings and for the opportunities He brings.

And no! We weren't worried when the bus broke Sunday night. I LOVE how the Lord lets us break down in the most perfect spots. : )

And, that's how we should be in all of life. Don't worry when everything looks broken because God sees the reason why and only lets us break down in the best spots because He loves us.

"Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand."

Hi! We had a great weekend up in Maine this very lonnnnng weekend. I'll see about updating the family blog soon with pictures and maybe some video. ^_^

In the meantime....I present the flora and fauna of Maine.

....Hens & Chicks.......

...lupine.....

...and roses...

Maine was gorgeous. Surprisingly is was not cooler up there. : P You would think 8 hours north would mean a temperature drop! Now it's a scramble to get ready for the next long weekend.... :sigh: :) Love it.

Obviously pictures of the rug I mentioned in the previous post!

We're headed to Maine soon, and I need to get all my other projects prepared (cut and machined) so I can fill the hours of drive time with hand sewing. ^_^ Looking forward to meet new and old friends this weekend. Should be exciting!

A Cheerful flower!

Oh, you didn't know I only had half a head? : P

The sun is gorgeous these days...but maybe some sunscreen wouldn't be such a bad idea. (The color background = awesome, the shadow = amateur!)

Hope everyone a nice weekend. :) Right before the weekend I FINALLY finished my first braided t-shirt rug. It's in the mail headed to an undisclosed location. ; ) Pics to follow this week I think....I started a new rug promptly. It's orange, aqua, lime green and pink and variants on those colors. I think Hannah is going to get this one since it fits in my room like a sore thumb. ;) It's so much more fun to make them for other people anyway. We sang Saturday, visited people Sunday and today I think we're going blueberry picking. ^_^ And, for the record I have a crazy urge to go on a long bike ride but 97+ f might not be the best weather for it.... :(

Isn't this amazing?
