Welcome to March! Oh. Oops. : ) I'm a *few* days late for that. ; ) Time is FLYING. I'm pretty sure before I know it the trip is going to be over...and all the wonderful friends I've made will be far away, all the good times will be pleasant memories and all the hardships overcome will be a reminder to us of God's faithfulness and love. It's all going to just be a memory...something fading and slipping away as we press forward...
What are you doing right now that will make a difference in the next hundred years?
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV
How often we strive for something to see immediate results? Let's make a difference for eternity, not just something that might be remembered 6 months from now, a year or ten years from now.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:17 NIV

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For,
"All men are like grass,
and all their glory is
like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord stands forever."
1 Peter 1:23-25(a) NIV
This passage which is quoting Isaiah is one of my favorite captions to go with flower photos, because while flowers are gorgeous and God's workmanship they are fading. Reminding us again what is seen is temporary.

Sorry for the silence! I've kinda not been taking too many pics this past week + weekend. My bad, I know....
We did get to stop at RiceHouse again before shoving off to the east coast...! Another evening of intense conversation and music making.

That was very enjoyable.
Right now, we're in Florida! It's rather gray and rainy right now. Thankfully we have a nice dry place to play at tonight. : ) It's been very nice to have some wifi to catch up on things.
Oh and I drove the bus this week! NO ONE PANIC, please. : P It really was fun actually. Driving in the car the past 7 months or so has made me much more confident on the bus.
And since it's so gray and yucky out there and probably all my readers from up north are tired of snow and cold....

Hang in there guys! Spring is coming! (Hopefully before we get home, too....lol :D )
Yes, I’m alive! No, I didn’t have much time to blog this week. :D And, no you may not eat your dessert before supper. ; )
Ok, so where do I start? We’ve been in CA for two weeks and I’ve officially decided (realized) it’s not WHERE you are but WHO you’re with that makes the difference in a wonderful time vs. “can we go home yet?” feeling. : ) I think I knew this before, but sometimes circumstances just bring that out so clearly. You really can’t beat fellowship with fellow believers. I’ve been so blessed and inspired to press in closer to the Lord Jesus this last week. He’s the only one worthy!
I’m so tired I think I finish writing this later. :nods a sleepy nod:
:{resumed writing the following evening}:
So where was I? Oh…yes, California! : ) Here are a few snaps from the past week and a half or so.
My sand dollar from the beach at Oceanside Harbor.

Bless the Lord oh my soul!

The heavens do declare the glory of the Lord.
Me singing at Simi Valley at night....

...some day I think I’ll try to learn how to sing without making funny faces so the photographer doesn't have to work so hard to get a good shot : P :D
It was really fun to hang out with a few photographers (Nikon users to boot!) this week, too. I love comparing notes and learning. ^_^ And, we had plenty of opportunities for photos at Yosemite!

Yes, some of us made the trip to Yosemite! Oh my MY. It was a fascinating time. Very cold for some of it, too! We had to get up reeeealy early. Like the earliest of the whole trip…like the 5am hour. : D It was so worth it though. The windy roads were bad enough to make a few on the ‘boat’ feel queasy.

Me testing the remote.

Eden C. smiling so pretty!

Philip taking some shots…

Taking shots on a bridge…

Me getting bridge shots…hehe.

It’s a semi-strange experience seeing pictures of yourself with a camera in a casual *ehem* directive non-posing atmosphere. : P
Well, this is about all I have time for tonight to post (ok it got to be morning). I’m desperately past my limit for time as it’s after 2am. We just spent a remarkable evening with some wonderful people and I’m still winding down from that.
Till next time!
Carol
Bzzzzzz.

Beeee joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12 NIV (minus the extra ee's :D)
That has to be one of my favorite verses. Anyone have a great verse that's been an encouragement they'd like to share?
